- Founded in 1980 with 43 students and 3 teachers in
grades K through 6.
- Governed by an elected Board of Trustees, subject to
three-year rotating terms.
- High school program added in 1983 with first graduating
class of 24 in 1987.
- Current program includes pre-school and developmental
kindergarten classes.
- Total enrollment equals 300+ students from 181 families,
residing in 18 public school districts throughout the
metro-Grand Rapids area.
- Represented by over 32 different churches and all major
denominational backgrounds.
- General and college preparatory classes are offered,
with over 80% of Tri-unity graduates pursuing education
after high school.
- Institutions of higher education attended by alumni
include: Calvin College, Hope College, Cornerstone College,
Davenport University, Central Michigan, US Air Force
Academy, University of Michigan, and Western Michigan
University. (Note: This is only a partial
list.)
- Maintaining one of the most unique facility plans of any
school in the country, owning no buildings, but rather
utilizing church properties and a renovated
YMCA facility. Annual operating costs are kept lower
this way.
- Member of the Association of Christian Schools
International (ACSI) since 1980. Member of Christian
Schools International (CSI) since 1983.
- Fully accredited with ACSI.
- All teachers are educationally and professionally
qualified, holding State of Michigan and/or ACSI
Certification.
- Annual operating budget is over $1,500,000.
Fiscal year ends June 30 and financial records go through
annual audit / review by outside CPA firm.
- Teacher-to-student ratio is 1 to 22.
Teacher full time equivalency is 18.
- Full extra-curricular program, including interscholastic
athletics. Varsity boys' basketball team won state
championship (class D) in 1996 & 2002, 2006 runner-up in 1997; Girls'
cross country team runner-up (class D) in 1997; Charter
members of the River Valley Conference.
