What Do We Believe?

Our Statement of Faith:

In the Holy Bible as the inspired, infallible Word of God (II Timothy 3:15-17)

In one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
(Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19, Mark 12:29)

That God created the heavens and the earth, and that man was created by God in His Own image but, by Adam's sin, became separated from God and is by nature sinful and guilty before God and unable to remedy his lost condition by himself (Gen. 1, Rom. 3:23 and 5:12-18)

In Jesus Christ, God's only Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin (Luke 1:26-35)

That Jesus Christ, after His sacrificial death and His resurrection, ascended to heaven and is in the position of all honor and power at God's right hand
(Mark 16:19, I Peter 3:22)

That the salvation of sinful man is a free gift of God's grace apart from works, based solely upon Christ's atoning death, effected by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of men, and received by faith in Christ's finished work on the cross (John 3:5, Eph. 2:8-9, Titus 3:3-7)

In water baptism by immersion (Matt. 28:19, Acts 2:38 and 8:36-38)

In divine healing through the redemptive work of Christ
(I Peter 2:24, Matt. 8:16-17, James 5:13-15)

In the baptism in the Holy Spirit accompanied by the gifts1 and fruit2 of the Spirit. (1I Cor. 12, Acts 1 & 2, Romans 8, Eph. 4 - word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, different kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues.) (2Galatians 5:22-23 - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.)

In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is able to live a holy life (Gal. 5:16, Hebrews 12:14)

In the fellowship together with other believers as the body of Christ, and that God has given leadership and supernatural gifts to the church
(I Cor. 12:27-28, Hebrews 10:24-25)

In the second coming of Jesus Christ (Acts 24:15, Luke 14:14) and

In the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. (John 5:28-29)
