Academics

Tri-unity Christian School has a passion for excellence which is demonstrated by our 99%+ graduation rate along with 80%+ of our students going to college. Tri-unity students consistently perform above the average levels in MEAP, SAT and ACT testing.  Our focus is the delivery of an exceptional foundation in the preparation for life beyond high school.

Beginning in our preschool program and continuing through senior high school, TCS provides a strong core curriculum complimented by Art, Music, Technology, Physical Education and Spanish.

Tri-unity Christian offers excellence in our communication partnership with parents through Edline.  Edline is an online program, which provides up to date information on student activities, academic progress, special projects and events.  Each parent is given confidential access to their child’s records.

"It's been a parent's dream come true - I don't know why we didn't think of Tri-unity sooner."  - TCS Parent

2 DAY SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRAM SCHEDULE

Tuesday / Thursday   8:10am – 3:10pm

Our developmental kindergarten and kindergarten programs focus on the early introduction of reading, writing, and math skills, complimented by Spanish, physical education, library, computers and music.  The development of social interaction and self-governance also play a key role in these early educational years.

Most importantly, the word of GOD is woven throughout the context of each subject, with direct instruction in Bible understanding are central components in the education of all students.  Students also have the privilege of attending weekly praise gatherings where they experience age appropriate worship, puppet ministry and training in Godly Character.

“I love that my son is coming home telling ME about Jesus!”  TCS Parent

Students joining our kindergarten program are individually assessed for placement into one of two learning environments; developmental kindergarten (for students requiring additional acquisition time) or our traditional kindergarten program.

Both programs offer readiness skills instruction for placement into our first grade the following year.  The fluidity of our program allows students to develop their skills at an appropriate pace to optimize their experience.  For students who need an additional year to cement readiness skills, they can easily transition into our traditional kindergarten program.

TCS offers a 2 day supplemental program on Tuesdays and Thursdays for parents desiring an ALL DAY / 5 DAY educational experience for their kindergarten student.  This program explores learning beyond the traditional classroom curriculum with 2 days of enrichment learning and activities.  (Minimum of 8 students required)

After school care is available for preschool thru Grade 6 students until 6pm.

Elementary / Middle School Program:  Grades 1-8

This program continues building on the foundational philosophy of the Early Education Program recognizing the learner is developing into a more independent thinker with unique God given gifts.  As elementary educators, we seek opportunities to strengthen these gifts both academically and spiritually.

Academic needs are met through a strong core curriculum with a well-rounded compliment of specials.  Students requiring specialized support receive direct instruction through our special services department.

Middle School Program: Grades 7 and 8

This program builds upon the solid, biblically based academics of our elementary school and focuses on the unique academic, social and spiritual needs of young adolescents.  Middle school students begin the transition to this new stage of development by attending classes in several classrooms with different teachers.  In addition to core curriculum, which includes Basic Math, Pre-algebra, Civics, American History, Life and Earth Science, and Keyboarding, ‘middle-schoolers’ may also participate in electives such as Art, Praise and Worship Class and Drama.  Tri-unity Christian Middle School students also attend gender exclusive Bible and Spiritual LIFE Courses, which enable the teacher and students to address pertinent issues relevant to their academic and social development.  In addition, outreach and service projects are a key component of the learning experience, giving students opportunity to serve God in tangible ways.

This program offers a strong, biblically integrated curriculum that prepares young people for a life of faith and learning.  The academic curriculum gives students the choice of a General Education Track, for those entering the workplace upon graduation or the Michigan Merit Curriculum Track, which is a college prep program aligned with the State of Michigan graduation requirements. In addition to the alignment with rigorous state standards, Tri-unity Christian also requires four years of rich, spirit-filled Bible and Spiritual LIFE Courses that are carefully designed to integrate faith and learning.  The high school program offers several AP (Advance Placement) courses to earn college credit as well as many online classes to round out a full offering of challenging courses.
